EVERGREEN CANOPY

This site has been started to celebrate life in St. Joseph's College for Women, Visakhaptnam established in 1958 by the Sisters of St.Joseph of Anneecy in France. The college was started in response to a public request by the efforts of a sister called Theresa Marie. The college was started for the sole purpose of training young women to become good homemakers. The college was the fore runner of Homescience Education in Andhra University and later of Andhra Pradesh. From that acorn has grown the oak tree which is located behind the Visakhapatnam railway station! It was in this campus that the tamarind tree was located providing shade to generations of children playing under its EVERGREEN CANOPY!

truly inspiring.it immediately took me back by 15 years and how i wish i paid more attention to every detail of my college.I miss it so much.would do anything to have an excuse to be there even for a few hours.I know ma'm ...no need of any excuses but....can't help the hesitation.
