In 1987 the college was granted autonomy by Andhra University and the University Grants Commission of India to frame its own syllabus, devise its own innovative teaching methods and cconduct its own evalation procedures.
The college made optimal use of the freedom it had secured for itself and has been serving the young women of Visakhapatnam meaningfully in their path to empowerment and emancipation. This year the college celebrates TWO DECADES of autonomy!
